Elena Bossi

Elena Bossi ist Professorin für Physiologie an der Universität Insubrien in Varese, Italien. Sie forscht zu Ionenkanälen und Membrantransportern mit besonderem Fokus auf die zellulären und molekularen Mechanismen der neuronalen Kommunikation. Sie leitet das Labor für Zell- und Molekularphysiologie und hat zahlreiche internationale Publikationen veröffentlicht.

Angel Aledo Serrano

Dr. Ángel Aledo-Serrano ist Neurologe und Epileptologe (MD, PhD) sowie Direktor des Vithas Clinical Neuroscience Institute in Madrid. Er ist auf seltene und komplexe Epilepsien spezialisiert, mit besonderem Interesse an klinischer Neurogenetik und personalisierter Medizin. Er koordiniert internationale Studien zur Früherkennung und innovativen Behandlung von Epilepsie-Enzephalopathien.

Chief Scientific Officer – SLC6A1 Switzerland

From 2026, Elena Bossi serves as Chief Scientific Officer of SLC6A1 Switzerland.

In her role as CSO, she contributes to defining the scientific strategic directions of SLC6A1 Switzerland and promoting the integration of basic research, clinical research and family community support.
